Harrisburg – Angelo Hronis, a senior at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, will talk about the scholarship he received and other ways he has paid for his college education on this week’s episode of Infinite Opportunities, which will air Sunday morning on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN).
Hronis, a sport administration major at Lock Haven, is the recipient of the Student
Success and Engagement scholarship awarded by SAS Inc. He will be joined on the show
by Elizabeth McCloud, vice president of state grant and special programs at the Pennsylvania
Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA); and Deborah Suder, a senior principal
for government relations at Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney and a trustee at Lock Haven
University. The show also will include video visits to the campus of Indiana University
of Pennsylvania and with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Foundation.
Infinite Opportunities airs at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday on PCN. The half-hour, public affairs program features
roundtable discussions with faculty, staff, students and alumni from the 14 State
System universities talking about a range of higher education topics and issues. State
System Interim Chancellor Karen M. Whitney moderates the weekly discussions. Each
program also offers viewers the opportunity to “travel” back to the universities to
learn more about all of the campuses.
This week’s roundtable discussion will focus on various ways to pay for college. Hronis
will talk about how the scholarship he is receiving has helped him not only to fund
his education, but also to succeed in the classroom. McCloud will discuss PHEAA’s
role in helping students pay their college bills. Suder will talk about the importance
of alumni donating both their time and money to their alma maters to help current
students achieve success.
