How healthy lifestyle leads to college success, this week’s topic on Infinite Opportunities

Cyriaque, a senior hotel, restaurant, tourism and business management major—and a peer educator—will be joined on the show by Kimberly Razzano, associate professor and chair of health studies at East Stroudsburg; and Glorianne Dziuba, community health education program director at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. The show also will include video visits to the campuses of Clarion, Slippery Rock and West Chester Universities of Pennsylvania.

Infinite Opportunities airs at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday on PCN. The half-hour, public affairs program features roundtable discussions with faculty, staff, students and alumni from the 14 State System universities talking about a range of higher education topics and issues. State System Interim Chancellor Karen M. Whitney moderates the weekly discussions. Each program also offers viewers the opportunity to “travel” back to the universities to learn more about all of the campuses.

This week’s roundtable discussion will focus on the benefits of being physically active and maintaining other healthy habits while in college. Cyriaque will talk about what it means to be a peer educator, and also will discuss the importance of seeking out opportunities to relieve stress to stay healthy and successful. Razzano will talk about some of the ways ESU helps students develop an active and healthy lifestyle, including through the radio show, “Healthy Warriors.” Dziuba will discuss ways Mansfield University helps students deal with mental health issues and the various opportunities available to students to learn about and engage in a healthy lifestyle while on campus.
