The Treasury Office administers a capital management operation by procuring low-cost
financing, optimizing investment return, and managing finance programs efficiently.
The Office manages and funds the financing of System and university projects through
the issuance of tax-exempt bonds.
The Treasury Office also provides cash management products through procurement of
a central bank that includes checking accounts and investment services, as well as
lockbox and credit card merchant services. The Treasury Office seeks to provide resources
in support of the System’s legislated mandate to provide a high-quality education
at the lowest possible cost.
